Mike’s role as a Financial Advisor at Legacy Financial is to assist individuals and families in achieving their financial goals and simplifying their lives. His goal is to understand the investment, tax, and estate planning landscape and make sure his clients have a thoughtful, well-coordinated plan.
He has over 23 years of experience in assisting clients with comprehensive financial planning, investment strategy, income planning, and estate planning techniques. Mike loves to have fun and hopes that his clients have a great time when meeting to talk through their finances.
Prior to joining Legacy, Mike worked at Fidelity Investments in Covington, Kentucky. At Fidelity, Mike had the opportunity to contribute in a variety of areas. He has a background in equity, options, fixed income trading and strategies, and tax-sensitive management. He served as a trainer and as a manager, until reaching his role as a financial advisor. During those years, Mike handled thousands of phone calls with investors. This experience taught him how to specifically connect with people about money. It’s one of the reasons Mike can simplify complex financial topics so that his clients not only know what the course of action is but why that specific path was chosen.
Mike has completed the Series 63, 66, 7, 9, and 10 examinations. Mike completed his undergraduate work at the University of Kentucky and has an M.B.A. from Xavier University, he is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
Mike is married to Beth who he met working at Fidelity. When he’s not at the office, Mike spends time with his wife and their three kids traveling or sitting outside at the pool. They’re also big sports fans who love to cheer on the Kentucky Wildcats, Bengals, FC Cincinnati, and the Reds. In his personal time, Mike enjoys working out, golfing, and playing basketball.
