Robby has over ten years of experience in the financial services industry and is the Director of Investments with Legacy Financial Advisors. His role with Legacy Financial Advisors involves overseeing all trading and research activity for the firm, such as investing idle cash, cash raises, and rebalancing. On the research side, this includes researching all managers involved with funds and SMA. Robby also works with advisors to recommend and implement client portfolio allocation and asset location plans. Additionally, he works with the partners on higher-level strategic projects.
Prior to joining Legacy Financial Advisors, Robby held research and portfolio management positions with Opus Capital Management and Truepoint Wealth Counsel. Robby is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Cincinnati.
Robby graduated summa cum laude from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. While at NKU, he was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma and Golden Key honor societies. He also earned an MBA from Xavier University.
Robby is an extremely detail-oriented self-starter. His experience before arriving at Legacy Financial exposed him to many different roles in the investment world that provide him an understanding of more than just the investment function of the business. This includes institutional small-cap trading, research, portfolio management, operations, and compliance- giving Robby a deep understanding of the business from all angles. He has also been exposed to various levels of technology that he now implements in his current role.
Knowing that his work has a direct impact on his clients’ retirement is the most enjoyable part for Robby. He loves taking complex financial pieces and simplifying them into actionable and meaningful results that his clients can understand.
Robby resides in Dayton, Kentucky with his three children. His close family lives in the area, so they spend lots of quality time together. Outside of work, Robby enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors kayaking and boating with his family. He also loves concerts and cheering on the Bengals and Reds. His family has always been there for him, and he wants to provide the same for his children.
